Saks Fifth Avenue is bidding farewell to one of its California locations after nearly 45 years. The luxury department store chain announced it will close its Union Square store in San Francisco for good on May 10. The change is one of many shakeups its parent company, Saks Global, is making since merging with Neiman Marcus Group last year. Before the merger, Saks transitioned to an appointment-only store chain that August.
