Lauren Boebert suggested Donald Trump may take his 'Gulf of America' strategy to his current place of residence by renaming Washington D.C. the 'District of America.' The move echoes a rebranding Trump made early in his second term when he chose to rename the Gulf of Mexico. The maritime wonder had held the 'Mexico' moniker for roughly half a millennium - until Trump signed an executive order rechristening it 'the Gulf of America' this year.
